Rule #5:
Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is nonexistent. And don’t bother concealing your thievery—celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: “It’s not where you take things from—it’s where you take them to.”

昔の映画、新しい映画、音楽、本、絵画、写真、詩、夢、何気ない会話、建築、橋、交通標識、木、雲、川、光、そして影を食い荒らせ。
君の魂に直接語りかけるものからだけ、選んで盗むんだ。
もしそうするなら、君の作品（君の盗んだもの）は本物になる。本物はとても貴重なものだ。オリジナリティーというものは存在しない。
盗んだ事を隠そうと気を病むな、したければ喜んで世に知らせろ。いづれにせよ常にジャン･リュック･ゴダールの言葉を思い出せ。
